Mason's 4th birthday is this coming Sunday and he really wanted a party so I decided to do the party on Wednesday night because Eric leaves for a trip to Colorado on Friday and I didn't want to have a party with 13 kids by myself! When I asked Mason what he wanted to do for his party, he said, "Let's have all the kids dress up like superheroes or princesses and have a pinata!" Since those were his 2 requests, of course I obliged.

Here are Mason and Logan before the party started - 2 little batmans (one a little more ghetto than the other!).

Getting amped up for the party!

After decorating candy bags and playing with balloons, we started our first game. The kids had to eat fruit roll-ups off a broom stick without using their hands. It was pretty funny to watch and the kids loved it!

Next was "hot potato" and here is the championship round, Mason vs Maelie. Maelie won!

Mason didn't want cake, so I suggested ice cream sundaes. The kids chose their ice cream and toppings and went crazy. Gummi-bears and sprinkles were the number #1 choices.

The rest of the kids...

We saved the pinata for last so the parents could take the kids home once the sugar set in. All the kids had a blast whacking the pinata to death. I thought some of the kids were going to take our ceiling down, their hits were so hard!

Here are all the superheroes and princesses (except Ben). It was a blast, but boy were we tired at the end. Thank goodness for our basement, it was the perfect party place!

What a blast and I love the costumes, especially Logan's costume- too cute! Mason sure looks like he had a blast! Of course he wanted super heroes!!
Colin had so much fun and he has loved the erasers in the treat bag. He keeps asking me to write things so he can erase them :)
Thanks Megan!!! Emma had lots of fun and it was so fun to see pictures because Emma is not the best at telling me what she did. Her response to me when she got home was we had icecream and played.
What a cute idea. I might have to steal that in a few years.
Very cute. I am not going to lie -it makes me sad that we are not there. Happy Birthday to Mason!
how fun for Mason! What a cute idea! You'll have to let me know how preschool is!
That looks like a lot of fun and not too overwhelming. I still have never thrown a kids b-day party. You are inspirational!

I'm so glad I changed my homepage! Cole would have just died seeing all these photos!! I'm glad you all had a great time at the party!
