Catch Up

Our Internet has been acting up lately, so I haven't been able to post for awhile. Here is some of what we've been up to lately.

Paige has been growing. She's 7 wks now and is a really good baby. The boys are still in love with her and are excellent big brothers.

Logan has been working on remembering to use the potty. He's regressed a lot since Paige was born and I am beyond frustrated by it. Hopefully he'll remember how to be a big boy again soon.
We went rock climbing at Chickies Rock and the boys proved they really are part monkey. Mason scrambled to the top while Logan colored in the stroller below.
Some freestyle moves by Logan...
Paige chillin' in the Baby Bjorn...
And Logan climbing almost to the top. He wasn't scared at all until it was time to come down and then he freaked out because he didn't want to let go of the rock.
Poor Logan got stung by a bee twice this week in our backyard. The wicked creatures decided that the decaying wood of our shed would be a good place for a hive, so they turn on attack mode anytime someone gets near the shed. We thought we took out the hive with bee spray after the first incident , but I guess not. The first time it was his leg, this time it was his eyelid. Good thing he's our tough guy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIC!!!

We spent a lovely morning at a park flying kites in honor of Eric's birthday. Okay, let's be honest, he probably would have rather been rock climbing or something, but since we have 3 kids now, our activities revolve around them. At least we were outside!
I couldn't get any pictures of the kites in the air (too high), but here is Mason running with his kite...
And Logan and Eric flying Logan's kite. I hadn't flown a kite since I was a kid and I think I had as much fun as the kids!
After the park, I gave Eric his "cake." He hasn't eaten any treats since January 1st, so I had to be creative with his cake. In case you can't tell, it's a slice of watermelon decorated with fruit. Please don't look closely at my writing on it, I'm seriously disabled in cake decorating.
We finished the day with a delicious dinner at Chabaa Thai (minus the boys). Happy Birthday old man - we love you!

The Big Grad

Mason graduated from his second year of preschool last week. It was held in the church where he attends preschool, with the kids performing at the front of the sanctuary. With all the parents standing up videotaping and taking pictures, I wasn't able to see very much of his program. But when I could see him, he was singing very enthusiastically and being very cute.
Logan didn't think it was very fun and kept trying to wake Paige up. Eventually he decided he would go to sleep. This moment did not last long enough!
Now off to Kindergarten in Montrose - yippee!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers I know! What a lucky girl I am to have 3 healthy kids! I was treated like a queen all day and I loved being able to tell the kids they couldn't fight because it was Mother's Day. Thank you Eric for making such delicious meals for me and not letting me lift a finger with any of it - so nice!
My sisters and I decided it would be nice to give our mother a picture of all her grandkids together, so when they were here we had my friend Stefanie take some pictures. It was not an easy task to say the least. The picture above is one of the rejects, but one that makes me laugh hysterically every time I see it. Logan was intentionally making this face, it was not on accident. For some reason, he thought it was cool to close one eye. Morgan and Mason look silly too, but those faces were not intentional.
Here is the one we went with. After an hour of unsuccessful photo attempts, we got Zack to sit on this bench for 1/2 second without screaming and running away by giving him his binky and letting him watch Stefanie's dog run around. I think it turned out cute - hope you think so too Mom! Happy Mother's Day!

Week 3

Paige is 3 weeks old! I can hardly believe it - time is going by so quickly! Week 3 of her life was highlighted by the arrival of my sister Kirsten's family from California. Erika came up from DC too so that we could all be together when Paige was blessed at church. Paige was blessed in the dress that me and my sisters all wore as infants, so it was special for me to dress her Sunday morning. I was so excited to finally be able to use the dress!

I can't believe we didn't take any pictures of my sisters while they were here, but here are some pictures of Paige on her blessing day, and pictures of the kids having fun with their cousins. I also threw some random pictures in of Paige taken this week that I thought were cute - enjoy!
