This and That

Paige's new favorite place to hang out is the dryer. She loves to turn the light on and off, and will just sit there happy as a clam. Last year at this time her hangout spot was the drawer under the oven. I saw her try to sit there the other day and she didn't fit. Funny girl.
I had to show a picture of Logan's recent injury. He fell out of the car (not cart, we were in the parking lot) head first and landed on the asphalt. My attention was on the blood gushing out of a cut on his scalp, not on his ear. So the next day when his ear looked like this, I tried to rub what I thought was marker off his ear. He protested and then I realized it wasn't marker, it was a bruise! It looked much worse in person and was really puffy. The poor kid took quite a beating, but it still his happy, rambunctious self. It takes a lot to slow this one down.

Since we are talking about Logan and Paige, I have to document the fact that Paige's new name for Logan is "That." She hasn't had a word for him since she started talking and it bothered me, so I would always ask her, "Who is that?" (pointing to Logan). I don't know why Logan is hard to say, but apparently "that" is easier, so "that" is Logan's new name. When she is going to bed she'll say, "Night night Mae-Mae, Night night That." So funny! It has us all in stitches. At least Logan is recognized as a part of Paige's life now. I love this girl.
