Ski Days

We have had a very cold, snowy winter this year and I am so tired of it! The only upside is that we have had some great days up at the resort 40 minutes from our house. We had a great powder day a couple weeks ago and swapped babysitting with a friend so that Eric and I could ski together while the boys were in lessons. After their lessons, we took them up on the bunny hill to see their skills. They both did great! During that same week, some friends planned a ski day to celebrate two birthdays. We all left our kids behind and had a "girls day" up on the slopes. There were 17 of us skiing and it was so fun! I've been waiting for a picture to be emailed from the girl who had a camera, but I give up. Here are some pics from the family ski days.

Eric and Mason riding the lift
Getting ready to shred the bunny hill
Me and Logan on the lift
Last week both boys had a day off school so I found a sitter for Paige and took them up by myself. We skied hard, had a french fry break, and then skied some more.
Happy kids, having a blast
I can't believe how quickly kids pick up new sports. Both boys are totally proficient skiers now, I didn't have to help them at all. I think Mason is ready to tackle blue runs now, but Logan needs to develop a little more control before I take him on harder runs. He can turn when he wants to, but mostly he just wants to go fast!
Poor Paige doesn't know what she is missing. But maybe she does, because she has been pretty naughty lately. We caught her the other day with my mascara. I wish you could see how much mascara was on her eye lashes. This picture does not do it justice. It was all over her hands too. She got her first haircut last week and looks pretty cute with her new bob.

Now that we've had some good ski days, I'm ready for the snow to leave and the weather to warm up. I know it's only February and the ground hog saw his shadow, but I'm still hoping for an early spring. Please send some snow melting vibes my way!

At least you are having some fun with all the cold/snow! Is Mason in a t-shirt eating french fries? Paige's haircut is adorable!

What great times you are having. Wish we could take our kids to the slopes together. I love Paiges new do. Ariel went through that mascara phase. I think it lasted about 6 months. Good luck with that. No matter where I hid my mascara she found it.

All I can say is I don't miss the snow. We went through the make all overr phase with Alexis. Amy doesn't seem to care.
