Diagnosis?

We think we may have a diagnosis for Eric. Our doctor said they are almost certain that he has T Cell Rich Large B Cell Lymphoma. It is a rare subtype of Large B Cell Lymphoma, which is considered a non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Eric's lymph nodes were sent to one more pathologist to confirm the diagnosis and we should get those results on Monday. He is in Stage 4, which is the worst stage. The cancer is in his abdomen, several organs, and his bone marrow. His lungs and brain are both clear, thank goodness. Our oncologist told him he has a 50% chance of being cured through chemotherapy. If chemotherapy does not knock out the cancer in his bone marrow, he will need a transplant. He started on Rituxin today (it took 8 hours of infusion), which is part of the chemo that he will be beginning no matter what the diagnosis. He will start receiving the full-blown dose of chemo on Monday once his diagnosis is confirmed. Although this diagnosis was rather bleak, Eric is so relieved to finally be killing those cancer cells. We remain firm in our faith that he will beat this.

Hey guys,
I feel really bad for calling the other night- I hadn't seen your 11/10 post (ya know, the one where you asked to hold off on calls). I am so sorry...I've always been a little slow catching on to things...BUT it was so good to talk to you, Megan. Eric will beat this, I truly believe he will. Call us any hour of the day/night if either of you need anything. We are all praying for you and hope you know how much you mean to us. Love, The Greens

I know I only know to the smallest degree what you are going through, and when I found out about my melanoma (which is the result of a genetic form of cancer that can pop up any time anywhere), I didn't talk to anyone for months, including Angie. She filled me in today, and although we're a bit late, we are adding our prayers for your family. Love you guys. (Kim, Josh, and Laney Parry)

My good friend and Stake President had this or a similar type of non-hodkins lymphoma eight yrs ago. He is now completly cured "doctors words" of any sign of cancer. It was difficult and he did go through a bone marrow transplant, but is now doing awesome!
You are in our prayers.

My friend has gone through this with her husband who has been fighting brain cancer this past year. They gave him several months to live, but that was 1 1/2 years ago. They are beating it and you have the faith to know that if it is Heavenly Father's will, so will you! I love you and want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
