Diagnosis?
We think we may have a diagnosis for Eric. Our doctor said they are almost certain that he has T Cell Rich Large B Cell Lymphoma. It is a rare subtype of Large B Cell Lymphoma, which is considered a non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Eric's lymph nodes were sent to one more pathologist to confirm the diagnosis and we should get those results on Monday. He is in Stage 4, which is the worst stage. The cancer is in his abdomen, several organs, and his bone marrow. His lungs and brain are both clear, thank goodness. Our oncologist told him he has a 50% chance of being cured through chemotherapy. If chemotherapy does not knock out the cancer in his bone marrow, he will need a transplant. He started on Rituxin today (it took 8 hours of infusion), which is part of the chemo that he will be beginning no matter what the diagnosis. He will start receiving the full-blown dose of chemo on Monday once his diagnosis is confirmed. Although this diagnosis was rather bleak, Eric is so relieved to finally be killing those cancer cells. We remain firm in our faith that he will beat this.

Hey guys,
I feel really bad for calling the other night- I hadn't seen your 11/10 post (ya know, the one where you asked to hold off on calls). I am so sorry...I've always been a little slow catching on to things...BUT it was so good to talk to you, Megan. Eric will beat this, I truly believe he will. Call us any hour of the day/night if either of you need anything. We are all praying for you and hope you know how much you mean to us. Love, The Greens

I know I only know to the smallest degree what you are going through, and when I found out about my melanoma (which is the result of a genetic form of cancer that can pop up any time anywhere), I didn't talk to anyone for months, including Angie. She filled me in today, and although we're a bit late, we are adding our prayers for your family. Love you guys. (Kim, Josh, and Laney Parry)

My good friend and Stake President had this or a similar type of non-hodkins lymphoma eight yrs ago. He is now completly cured "doctors words" of any sign of cancer. It was difficult and he did go through a bone marrow transplant, but is now doing awesome!
You are in our prayers.
Love, Greg and the gang
We're so sorry you are going through this tough time. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Love, the Allens
Our prayers are with you- you are an amazing family.
My friend has gone through this with her husband who has been fighting brain cancer this past year. They gave him several months to live, but that was 1 1/2 years ago. They are beating it and you have the faith to know that if it is Heavenly Father's will, so will you! I love you and want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Megan and Eric, we are heartbroken to hear about this, but we know you both have the strength to get through it. Eric is going to be okay and you will all be in our prayers while he works through his treatment.
Be strong sweetie. I am here for you if you need anything. don't hesitate to call.
We will pray for you guys Megan! He will get through this.
Shima
just wanted to let you know that we're thinking of you and your family.
We add our prayers and faith to
everyone's. You are loved by many, many strong and good people. The Lord delights to bless those who love and serve Him--His promises are sure.
You are in our prayers and we will be fasting for you. If you need anything we are only 4 hours away and would drive out in a second. We love you!
We're also relieved he's on his way to killing those cells! We know he can do it. I wish we could do more to help you guys. Please ask. You can always count on us to pray on your behalf.
How do I test to be a donor? I want to help. Please contact me if that is okay.
