Weekend Getaway
Eric and I just returned from our first weekend trip together with NO KIDS! We went to Wildwood, NJ, which is on the southernmost part of the Jersey "Shore." We were originally going to go to Cape May, but all the B&B's there were booked so I headed a little north to Wildwood and f0und a room. I guess I didn't do my research on Wildwood, because it was totally different than we expected. I thought we were going to a quaint beach town with a boardwalk and a ferris wheel. What we got was a carnival like adventure with roller coasters, water slides, and an interesting crowd of people. Luckily, the B&B we were staying in was nice and quiet and was a short 2 block walk to the beach and plenty of restaurants. We didn't take any pictures while we were there - we were too busy relaxing! It was so nice to sit on the beach and read our books and then go in the water together and actually swim! No more standing in the 2 inch deep water! Here is a link to our B&B - http://www.theseagypsy.com/ We would recommend the inn, but if you go, prepare for a carnival-like atmosphere at the beach. It was just so different than I what we're used to! But we had a fabulous time!

I am glad you had a good time. We were pretty surprised about the carnival feel at Wildwood too. Is the beach still really wide?
