The day after Christmas, my mom and dad, and my two sisters (including Kirsten's family) all arrived in Grand Junction. The next morning we headed up to Crested Butte to spend 4 days in a cabin there. It was heaven! The first two days we had crystal clear blue skies and incredible views of all the surrounding mountains. The scenery was spectacular and the skiing was awesome. The last two days it snowed like crazy, which made the skiing even better! I didn't get too many pictures, we were too busy having fun!

Our boys turned into skiing maniacs over the Christmas break. They didn't even see the bunny hill on this trip, they just skied all over the mountain with us - they even went down a black diamond run. They think they are indestructible, which is kind of scary!

Our cabin was a short walk from the lift, but we were always too tired after skiing to walk back to the house in our ski boots. So, we would let Eric (who wears comfortable snowboarding boots) run to the house and get the car to come get us. A perfect arrangement!

Papa kept the little ones happy in the hot tub, but that didn't keep Paige from asking a hundred times when she was going skiing.

Two tired bodies - one from skiing, one from not sleeping in her porta-crib.

These two kept each other company while the big kids were out sledding off jumps or tearing up the mountain. Good thing they have each other!

We tried to get some pictures outside the cabin as we were leaving, but the kids weren't too cooperative. With temps in the low teens, they were anxious to get in the car. Guess I can't blame them!

Kirsten and Chris came back to Grand Junction from Crested Butte to spend New Years with us (the rest of the crew flew home) and we were greeted with a snowstorm that covered the hill in our yard with the perfect amount of snow for sledding. It was the first time we had enough snow this season to give it a whirl and it was perfect. Another perk to this house - love it!

Paige and Andrew were content eating snow off the trampoline!

After sledding we took the kids to a rock climbing/kids fun center place where everyone burned some more calories. We wanted the kids good and tired for New Years Eve so the parents could party :)! Our plan worked!

We were sad to say good bye to the Cummings crew when they left New Years Day. The kids had so much fun together. It was a blast having everyone to our house to visit and explore Colorado mountains. I vote to do this every year!

We love Crested Butte! I got to work there for a couple months in the summer before Deacon was born. They have a really good pizza place called the Secret Stash. If your kids like pizza. Or maybe will make it down that way sometime and go together.
