Our Logan turned 3 this week! We had a little party to celebrate - Kung Fu Panda style. The activities will make more sense if you've seen the movie, which my kids loved. First the kids had to slurp noodles with no hands...
Then they got to kung fu kick and chop styrafoam sheets...
Then they played pass the Dragon Scroll (hot potato)...
Break open a pinata...
And finally eat cupcakes!
I tested my crafty skills by making each kid a panda cupcake. I think they turned out pretty cute, thanks to a helpful book called Hello Cupcake. It really is the best book ever for cute, doable cupcakes.
I was so worried when Logan was an infant that he would be a seriously difficult child, but to my surprise he has grown up to be a very enjoyable child. Onery and stubborn yes, but very snuggly and sweet too, so we'll keep him. We're so glad he's in our family!

I showed the kids before church the Panda birthday party. Liston said he wanted to go to his house. Deacon wanted to know where his cupcake was at. Now I have to get them to stop doing kung-fu on each other so we can go to church.

You will have to come visit some time and we will go up to Slide Rock. We actually thought of you while we were there. Steve said, "i'll bet the Barnhurst's would really like it here." I'm sure there is lots of rock climbing and hiking. I know for sure there is a lot of hiking every where there.
I love the birthday idea. Jared took Cyra to Kung Fu Panda, but she said that it was too scary midway through so they left. I can't believe you made those cupcakes Megan. You are a pro.
