Yesterday I started my new job - group fitness instructor at Crossroads Fitness. I used to instruct classes when I was in college and now 10 years later I am getting back into it. I got so spoiled with my cheap YMCA membership with free babysitting in Philly that it was killing me to pay our gym membership and babysitting fees here. So, now as an employee, both are free! Mason was pretty upset when I told him I was starting to work at the gym. He told me, "You can't go to work every day like dad, who will stay with us?" It took a little explaining for him to realize that it would only be 1-4 hours a week. I will be teaching Kickboxing, Body Sculpting, Cardio Chisel, and Chisel (weight training classes). I taught Cardio Chisel yesterday and put more weight on my bar than I should have because I didn't want to look like a wussy instructor. I am paying for it today with sore muscles! Hopefully my body gets in the groove fast otherwise I won't be able to walk, let alone teach!

Yea! I really wish I could go to a class and that is so funny about putting too much weight on...hahaha!
I wish I lived closer so I could come to your classes. I know that I am going to miss the Y too.
How fun! that sounds like the perfect setup! It was so great to see you guys and we will have to come visit you this winter.
I bet you are an awesome instructor. I really like cross roads too! How are you liking Grand Junction?
Well that's one way to stay in shape! Ryan and I were shaking our heads in amazement. How can you just teach all these crazy fitness classes? I can't even attend one without going into cardiac arrest! Good for you Megan. You're an inspiration!
hey you! i found your blog through amberli's so funny. I was going to ask you this morning what gym you worked at. that is cool. see ya monday. my house. 9:30
How are you beautiful thing? Looking as fly as ever...Just like those fantastic college days. Miss you! Kel
I would LOVE to take an aerobics class from you. I bet you are so good at it. What a great way to stay in shape.
Please tell me you wear a thong leotard and arm bands! Maybe seeing you in those clothes would get my sorry booty to the gym!
Here, here. I am struggling with this myself. I joined a "cheap" (comparitively) YMCA that has NO classes and little equipment. The gym a lot of options was $161 a month PLUS $3 an hour per kid! I would teach but I am only trained in BodyPump and BodyStep and I don't want to learn new things!!UGGG! I want the YMCA and my Performax Gym from Utah back! I bet you are a great instructor. Good luck with it!
