Potty Training Update
I'm sure you are all dying to know how potty training Logan is going (ha!). Well, all I can say is it has definitely been a different experience than it was with Mason. You were all right about the fact that it would most likely take more than one day - it's been more like 3 weeks. Both boys got the flu during the 2nd week of training, which totally set Logan back, but this week seems to be getting easier. I have finally ventured out of the house with him in underwear instead of pull-ups and we haven't had one accident! The only problem we have left to conquer now is going #2 in the potty. He hasn't done it once in the 3 1/2 weeks since I started potty training. He usually goes first thing when he wakes up before I have a chance to change him out of a pull-up. Any suggestions on tackling this challenge?

I'm glad things are getting better. I don't know if my suggestion will work because you are married to a dentist, but I gave Lily one piece of her favorite candy every time she went #2. Since she doesn't get candy often, it was a HUGE treat! I thought that when she finally mastered it then it would be hard to get her off the candy, but it hasn't been difficult at all. Most of the time she doesn't even remember now. Good Luck! The boys are getting so big and cute. I always love to see your updates.
Megan--I would never, ever attempt to answer potty training questions--especially about #2, as it was a complete nightmare for both Cole and I. I'm over it now, but I still don't like to think of it! :) The boys are so cute. I miss date night. We finally found a reliable babysitter, but we paid her close to what we paid for dinner--such a bummer. Ryan said you guys are thinking of Durango. Megan, you must convince Eric it's the place to go. It's beautiful and so very adventurous. I can see you both fitting in perfectly and you would only be about 3 hours from us! The Endo guy there is psycho, but you never know! We're sending you nothing but good luck on your search! Keep us posted!
um, Ty went 14 months without going #2 on the potty so have no weight when it comes to pooty training advice. But I do have a girlfreind who potty trains all of her kids at 2. She puts them in underwear and never goes back- no pull-up, nothing. Good Luck!
I'm no expert, but a reward that worked sometimes for us was a special bell that my girls got to ring and let everyone know when they went #2. Good luck, I'm glad I don't have to worry about potty training for a while because it is not fun.
Oh. I am trying to do this too now. Difficult. Good suggestions. Cyra gets candy too when she goes in the toilet, but it doesn't seem to be enough motivation. She will only sit on the toilet when she feels like eating candy and she sits there until something comes out--usually a squirt if pee. I am not sure this is effective.
