We had our first real snow in Philly last week and the kids had so much fun playing in it. There wasn't enough for a snowman, but we did make some good snowballs. Really all Mason and Logan wanted to do was eat it - gross! A couple times while I was shoveling the sidewalk, I caught them on their hands and knees eating snow off the ground without their hands! How do kids survive with all the gross things they do?

Our neighbor Nick moved on Thursday and we were so sad to see him go. It is wierd to look outside and not have him across the street. I miss the sound of him whistling whenever he was outside or him yelling, "Meg! I have something for the boys!" He called me Meg from the first time he met me and I always felt like he was looking out for me when I was home alone. He always brought my trashcans back into my porch on trash day and he even took my trash out a couple times when we forgot it was trash day! Luckily a couple from our ward, Reina and Chris Barton, bought his place so I will have some great new neighbors soon, but we will always remember Nick Casselli!

Sounds like you moved to a great area with great neighbors! You boys look so cute all bundled up!
We have an elderly couple that live next door to us. We love it. That generation is so thoughtful.
Nick sounds like a character from an Anne of Green Gables novel. Too good to be true.
DOn't you jut love people like that--sincerely doing things for you without you having to ask them to. Our neighbor always mows our front lawn--I think it's more for looks since we're connected to his house, he wants his to look nice, but hey, it's the thought that counts! The world needs more people like that.
What a fun neighbor! Oh well, at least you know you have good ones coming. I didn't know the Bartons bought that house. That will be a lot of fun!
I'm confused, did he move on or did he really move on??
The boys will have plenty of snow to eat here! Jaden eats it off of people's shoes when they come to our house- NICE!
I hear you about the snow. I enjoy it & the boys do too, but I sure wish they would stop eating it! Gross! Your neighbor sounds like such a sweet guy. You don't come across people like that too often!
