Assateague Island

Last week we went camping at a place called Assateague Island in Maryland. It is a barrier island that is basically a long strip of sand that runs from Maryland down to Virginia. It is also home to wild horses and millions of mosquitoes, the first of which was very cool, the second not so much. Luckily we purchased a screen tent before we went which saved us from the bugs. Here are some pictures from our trip, we had a blast!

Curve Ball

Eric has been hesitant to let me write this post, but I am going ahead because it's big news. We are no longer moving to Montrose and setting up our own office. We are now moving to Grand Junction where Eric will be the third part of a group practice. The opportunity caught us totally by surprise, but we think it's the right thing to do. Eric and I both went out there a couple weeks ago and although we like the scenery of Montrose better, the business opportunity in Grand Junction is too good to pass up. Maybe we'll eventually move to Montrose someday, but for now we are so relieved to be rid of the stress of starting a practice! Nothing is set in stone yet with this practice arrangement (thus Eric's hesitation), but I'm sure we'll get all the kinks worked out in time for him to start working in September. It seems like every time Eric and I have had to make a life-changing decision in our marriage, we get thrown a curve ball at the last second. But the curve balls are always blessings that we didn't forsee coming, so I am confident that this move will be a good one for us.

On a side note for all of you CU dental grads who might read this, we are renting a house down the street from the Birch's. Isn't that funny? We are excited to live by them again!

Miscellaneous

So here are a few random photos to show you what we've been up to. We've been spending a lot of time at the pool. Paige even got in the water a couple times and I think she liked it! Logan was nice enough to paddle her around in our friend's crab floaty (with me close by of course!).
The kids love hanging out with all their friends poolside. All the moms will be sitting together socializing, and the kids will be all together in another area doing their thing. It's perfect!
I tried to get a good picture of Logan and Paige on Sunday because I thought they both looked really cute, but Paige was hungry so she was not cooperating. At least Logan looks cute.
And lastly, Happy Father's Day to Eric and all the other dads in my life! I didn't want to wake Eric and Paige up when I took this, so I turned the flash off, thus the dark picture. But it's moments like these that make parenthood worth it. Eric is a great dad and we are all so lucky to have him as our own!
